The 2026 Master of Liberal Arts Diploma Ceremony

Welcome, 2025–2026 Graduates!

We are looking forward to celebrating your remarkable achievement of completing the Master of Liberal Arts degree with the University of Chicago William B. and Catherine V. Graham School of Continuing Liberal and Professional Studies.

We are thrilled to invite you to participate in the University’s 540th Convocation on Saturday, June 6, 2026, a historic celebration honoring graduates from the College and across all Graduate and Professional Divisions.

Just as significant, the Graham School will host a special degree ceremony on Sunday, June 7, 2026, to recognize your unique accomplishments. The registration form to attend the diploma ceremony is now available. Please complete the form by May 15, 2026.

The Graham School diploma ceremony at the University of Chicago celebrates the academic achievements of its Master of Liberal Arts graduates. During the ceremony, the Dean of the Graham School individually recognizes graduates and presents them with diplomas, commemorating their hard-earned success and entry into the alumni community.

All graduates are hooded during the ceremony. All graduates participating in the ceremony must be in academic regalia. Convocation is a formal and traditional ceremony, and we ask that any attire or adornment worn by candidates be appropriate for the occasion. Regalia can be ordered now online until April 27. Starting May 4, 2026, regalia can be purchased at the University Bookstore, located at 970 East 58th Street.
